The short version
Premium ($19/year) and the one-time Pro event unlock ($5) are both refundable in full for 30 days from the day you paid. Go to support, tell us what happened, and in most cases the refund goes through on the spot.
When it's instant
If you paid in the last 30 days, haven't been refunded before, and haven't already put the paid features to work on a live event, the refund button appears in the support flow and refunds you immediately.
When a person looks at it first
Some requests get reviewed by hand rather than being refused: payments older than 30 days, a second refund on the same account, or a premium theme, custom link or unlocked event that's already live and collecting RSVPs. Reviewed doesn't mean rejected — it means someone reads it. We aim to come back within a few business days.
What happens to your events
Nothing is deleted. A refund ends your paid features, so premium themes and custom branding switch back to the free equivalents and new custom links need Premium again. Your events, your guest list, RSVPs, dish sign-ups, photos and messages all stay exactly as they are.
Renewals and cancelling
Premium renews once a year. Cancel any time from your account page and you keep everything until the period you paid for runs out — cancelling isn't a refund and doesn't cut your access short. If an annual renewal catches you by surprise, tell us within 30 days and we'll refund it.
Money guests chip in
Chip-ins go straight from your guests to the host's own Venmo, Cash App, PayPal or Zelle. Potluck never touches that money, so we can't refund it — that's between the guest and the host.
How the money comes back
Refunds return to the original card through Stripe. Banks usually show it within five to ten business days. If it hasn't landed after ten, tell us and we'll chase it.
